  The designs of small handheld technology have an interesting fact in common. It tends to shrink in size then grow bigger by twice. This is due to gadgets getting smaller making the phone getting smaller then suddenly jammed with thousands of gadgets.

  The core of portable technology is the CPU. The CPU runs the whole computer in amazing speeds. In 2020, CPU speeds will run at speeds of 34 billion of trillions calculations a second. This is equivalent to 34 zettaflops (34 000 000 000 000 000 000 000). The size will be as small as a 1.6mm wide and 2.8mm in length. The power consumption will be around a few femtowatts (few quadrillionth of a watt).

Portability

    The portability is a very important aspect of “portable” technology. This includes size, weight, and additional feature. All this contribute to the features of the technology.

  Small dimensions can be fitted in one’s pocket. This enables you to access mobile phones, MP4 players, camera, and right from a hands reach. The size is due to the amount of feature the electronic have. In the future, people tend to have sheet thin, non-breakable plexiglass screened technology. But the electronic dimensions will remain the same yet the screen will have a holographic display to the user. The size should remain 10cm to 8cm, length to width respectively. 

  The electronic should be solid enough to survive falls, but light enough to be held without much stress. The motherboards will now be made from tough plexiglass with fibre optics passing through. This reduces the weight to the weight of a USB. No longer do we need bags; technology will just be placed down our pockets and weightless.
