  The core of portable technology is the CPU. The CPU runs the whole computer in amazing speeds. In 2020, CPU speeds will run at speeds of 34 billion of trillions calculations a second. This is equivalent to 34 zettaflops (34 000 000 000 000 000 000 000). The size will be as small as a 1.6mm wide and 2.8mm in length. The power consumption will be around a few femtowatts (few quadrillionth of a watt).
  The motherboard is main controller to the pc. In the future, motherboards will be capable doing speeds of hundreds of terabytes of data every second. Also motherboards will support new features such as more slots for RAM, twenty four laser optic HDD, quad CPU support and fibre optics motherboard.

  Memory of the computer has been every increasing. Applications such as 5D games, hosting servers all requires tremendous amounts of memory. Think about the RAM size you use now. Do the powers of four then double the outcome. This is the amount of memory on every phone. For laptops, replace time 2 by time 4.

  In the future the need for more hard drive storage will be more wanting. Movie will each take 30 GB and a simple document will take each 5 MB. To capacitate all this around ten petabyte will be needed. One petabyte is equivalent to 1000 terabyte. All hard drives will have fibre optics technology enabling transferal rates of 25 teraflops a second. Such speed has been made available in only lab conditions today.

  HD movies, 5D graphics games all will be needed to browse a document. The 2020 graphic cards have a D.I.E area of only 0.5mn. This is equivalent to ten thousandth of the chipsets nowadays. The core processing speed will produce consistent faster-than-eye videos and Super Full HD pictures.
